BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday slammed Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition and Comgress MP Rahul Gandhi’s remarks that people should confront RSS workers and tell them that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah are “traitors”.
Calling the Congress leader’s remarks “deeply unfortunate”, the BJP president said it revealed the “anarchic mindset” of Gandhi.

“I believe that in the context of Indian politics where propriety and social harmony are intertwined with the mutual respect accorded to one another, his statement is truly regrettable,” he said.
The BJP leader further said that continuous electoral defeats and the ensuing frustration are now manifesting in his temperament and character.
“It is this very desperation and despondency that are driving him to make such statements today…,” he said.
Nabin further asked whether eradicating Naxalism and safeguarding the territory of the country is an act of treason.
“I question the manner in which you choose your words: Is the eradication of Naxalism an act of treason? Is safeguarding this country’s territory an act of treason? Is elevating the global prestige of India’s Tricolour an act of treason?” he asked.
What Rahul Gandhi had said?
Addressing Congress workers in Uttar Pradesh’s Rae Bareli on Wednesday, Gandhi told his supporters that they should confront the RSS workers and tell them that PM Modi, Shah and the organisation itself are traitors.
“When you go back home, when these RSS workers come to you, they will talk about Narendra Modi, they will talk about Amit Shah. You look them in the face and say, ‘Your Prime Minister is a traitor, your home minister is a traitor, your organisation is a traitor,” Rahul had said.
He further added,”You have worked to sell out India. You have attacked our organisation, our Constitution, BR Ambedkar and Mahatma Gandhi.’ Tell them this.”
